Toys and games promote learning
19/09/2007
In these days of playstations and high-tech computer games, it can be confusing for to know how to find your grandchildren a present that is both useful, wanted - and educational. The problem is that you really want to get them something personal but feel a bit out of touch as to what they might like. Their parents haven’t a clue, send you out on a wild goose chase or suggest money as the impersonal fall back.
But there is a solution. It's called www.keen2learn.co.uk - a website set up to help parents and grandparents access a huge range of educational games normally used in school. Teachers use them to support the national curriculum as they are great fun and stimulate the children. But the good news is the games are equally good to have fun at home. And even better, rather than sharing the games between 30 children in a class, they have their very own copy.
Subjects covered included: languages, history, maths, physics, chemistry, biology and religious studies. For more information visit the website linked below.
