Lillian Lenton - Rebel Girl!
A talk by Jill Liddington, historian and author of 'Rebel Girls: their fight for the vote’ (Virago), on Lillian Lenton and the Votes for Women campaign.

The suffrage movement revolutionised women’s rights in the United Kingdom. Suffragettes like Emily Davison and Emmeline Pankhurst are remembered to this day, but many more of the women who energised the campaign have since been forgotten. Lillian Lenton, Leicester’s most elusive suffragette, was one such woman.
