"Why gay adoption works"
31/05/2007
Further to the letter that objects to the adoption of children by gay couples (March/April/May MT).
Observation of all species of animals shows gay behaviour in all groups, thus we may conclude that gay behaviour is functional in some way for the survival of species.
Observation of the gay animals effect upon the group shows that if fertile couples produce too many young to feed or if the parents die the gay animals adopt the babies and raise them. This ensures the survival of the species. Also there is greater sexual diversity, with gay couples luring heterosexual members into their group, getting pregnant or impregnating , and once the pregnancy is established or the baby born, the gay couple will push the heterosexual one away and raise the baby together. This frees up the heterosexual one to reproduce again, thus enhancing the fertility of the group.
In human cultures it has been noted that gay animals seem to enhance the fertility of their animals. Why is this? Well, we all know what a bunch of over the top posers gay guys are, and guess what! Heterosexuals are geared up to use their energy to produce and raise young, and have far less energy to prance about giving off massive mating signals. So, the gay creatures fluff and preen and parade and the show stimulates reproductive behaviour within the whole group.
Gayness is by no means dysfunctional and promotes not only the survival of the species but also enhances reproductive behaviour. If that Terence Cullen has room to adopt all the children in this country who need loving and stable homes that he should do so. Otherwise he should educate himself about life itself.
