Want a fun suggestion for how to make money for a good cause? Each year Wentworth Wooden Jigsaws help raise thousands of pounds for charities and community organizations. These have included Guide Dogs, Operation Christmas Child, the RSPB and a host of smaller local causes.

Puzzles to raise the roof!
When the parish church in South Cerney wanted to raise funds, they decided to commission a few wooden jigsaws from Wentworth in order to sell at coffee and open mornings. A suitable image of the church was chosen and this was then turned into a number of small matchbox puzzles each featuring special church related whimsies. These were then sold and all profits returned to the fund. Each puzzle cost £2.14 each and was sold for £5. Over the course of two months over £250 was raised.
Those who bought them not only had a fun puzzle to play with, but a lasting memory of their church which they can hand down to future generations in years to come.
Piecing together £1,500
Wentworth recently completed a puzzle project specifically set up to raise money for a hospice. Every person entering a charity dinner was given the chance to buy a whimsy piece, that might fit into a large mounted puzzle with the relevant whimsies missing, in order to win a prize that had been donated by other benefactors.
They supplied them with the puzzle mounted into a beautiful frame, together with the correct missing whimsies (about 30 were removed) and another 500 pieces that would never fit supplied separately. The guests, who were quite prepared to chance their luck in order to win some nice prizes, were enthralled as they tried to fit their piece into the puzzle. This project raised over £1,500.
Extra funds for your school
Nursery, primary and even secondary schools nowadays rely more and more on enterprise to help raise money for non-curricular activities and the company says it is proud to have helped many schools raise money with their products.
Projects include class, group, year or team photos, converted into jigsaws and then sold to the parents. And what a brilliant Christmas or Birthday present for proud grandparents and godparents!
