Calling all RAF veterans
18/04/2007
There are a few annual events that just shouldn't be missed, so write down Sunday, June 24th in your diary right now if you are an RAF Veteran, because it's the union parade at the RAF Museum at Cosford, in Shropshire.
Open to ALL ex National Servicemen and Regulars - especially ex WAAF and ex WRAF who served from 1939 to the 60s - this exciting event is organised by the National Service (RAF) Association, with the support of the RAF Museum and the Commandant DCAE Cosford.
In a packed day, there will be a full parade (taken by ex-Drill Instructors), a service of remembrance at 11.00hrs, a march past, and an RAF Band with a flypast of aircraft from the Battle of Britain Flight around 13 hrs. With countless stands and meeting points from all ex Service Agencies and many RAF Associations and Units, this is a free day of pure RAF nostalgia.
Anyone intending to come along should try to be on site by 09.30 hrs. For full information contact Pat Honey on 01782 516887 or email: pgh87@talktalk.net
