Unleash the secret novelist in you

Most of us think of a cracking idea for a best-selling novel at some stage in our lives. The trouble is, very few of these brilliant ideas ever make it beyond our imagination, because the effort required to transform the concept into a publishable manuscript can be overwhelming. If only there was some way of doing the fun part and getting somebody or something to do the rest…

Well, now there is. It's called NewNovelist, the first major upgrade of an internationally renowned computer writing package by Creativity Software. Originally released in 2001, the software has sold over 80,000 copies in 100 countries, and the list of published authors who used NewNovelist continues to grow.

This first major upgrade includes a range of new enhancements to make the writing process even easier. According to some authors it almost feels like you are cheating.

NewNovelist  coaches the would-be writer through the creation of different characters and designing the worlds they inhabit. It shows how to build pages of text from basic mental images, and prompts you by using a comprehensive series of helpful tutorials. In short, it aims to turn you into a master story teller – taking the ideas dancing around in your head and transforming them into fully developed short stories or novels - or all the fun of writing a novel without the frustrations.

The New Writer Magazine described the software as “a groundbreaking concept in creativity and literature.”

Chris Lee, Sales and Marketing Director at Creativity Software said: “NewNovelist Version 2 has been completely redesigned based on feedback from existing users and the changing demands placed on authors. We even enlisted Lucinda Hawksley, the great, great granddaughter of Charles Dickens to help us.

"Lucinda is a successful author in her own right, having written or contributed to thirteen books, including A Tale of Two Cities - retold for children. You never know, NewNovelist may even help uncover the next Mr Dickens…"

NewNovelist has been welcomed by both celebrated authors such as Will Self, and debutants such as Tim Nichol who had his first novel - "Stephen Harris in Trouble" - published after investing in the software.

NewNovelist version 2 costs £29.99, and is available now available at PC World, Waterstones, Ottakers, Borders and direct online from the website link below.
