Tax discs another nail in PO coffin

I think that the government's latest offer, to renew car tax discs "online" is just another underhand way to get more reasons to close more Post Offices.

 

After all, the less trade at a Post Office, the bigger the reason to close it, and by luring trade away from Post Office counters, the more power to these "honeypot" tactics.

 

It started with allowing shops to sell postage stamps, and now Television Licences - where will it end? I'll tell you: there will only be one Post Office in the UK, and that will be within walking distance of number 10 - despite the fact that no-one will try walking it - they have plenty of carbon-hungry limousines at their disposal and at our cost.

 

Angry? What, ME? NEVER.
