Redditch Shopmobility, one of the first of its type in the UK, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special event on Thursday February 8th 2007.
At 12.10pm, led by the Town Crier, a procession of Shopmobility scooters and wheelchairs will travel through the Kingfisher Shopping Centre to the Town Hall in Walter Stranz Square, where a cake will be cut by the Mayor.
Redditch Shopmobility provides free use of battery powered wheelchairs and scooters, as well as manual wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. They are available for use by anyone experiencing difficulties walking, those with disabilities, older people or anyone recovering from an accident or illness.
