Turning photographs into a DVD memory

After being made redundant, Barry Withers came up with an idea for a new business: sharing memories.
"The rich diversity of people’s lives has always held a fascination for me and I realised that some might like to talk about their experiences," says Barry. My new career involves interviewing family members, and digitally video recording their stories, life experiences and values: things that have often profoundly shaped their characters.
"I then weave the stories around family photographs and enhance the humour and honesty with appropriately themed music, evoking strong feelings of nostalgia. The completed and professionally edited cinematic autobiography is then produced to DVD.
"There are obvious advantages anyway in transferring original photographs onto DVD. Not least of which is the more secure, easier to store and more durable aspect of this format. To this end, I am also able to offer this as an alternative service to the recorded interview, if the client so wishes. The cost of the package makes it very affordable."
