New breaks target the active generation

A whole series of activity breaks for adults – from learning about antiques and classic cars through to painting and our native mushrooms – have been launched by Warner Breaks.

Their new “Experience Breaks” are available just for adults across all of its 13 UK properties. Hosted by some of the UK's leading experts in their field, they offer the opportunity to “try something different” as part of a relaxing short break.

Have your ever wondered about the history of your most treasured family heirloom, and would like to know how much it is worth? The Antiques break is a perfect weekend for avid viewers of the BBC's Antiques Roadshow and actually features stars of the programme. It includes a series of talks by the team, valuations of guest's treasures, and optional tours to local antiques or auction houses

The Classic Car break offers guests not only the chance to view a collection of vintage cars, but also the opportunity to be driven around the English countryside in one as well!

Ever watched the TV programme “How do you solve a problem like Maria?'” and wondered if you could ever sing like that? Experts believe that everyone can be taught how to sing, so a Learn to Sing break is your chance to find out.

Jitterbug, the American dance craze of the Second World War is currently enjoying a revival.  The Jitterbug break will take you on a trip down memory lane and is great for beginners and experienced dancers alike.

The unusual autumnal Mushroom Walk breaks will give you a unique insight into everything to do with mushrooms, and includes a fungi hunt and cookery demonstrations and tuition, while The Joy of Painting guarantees that you will complete your own oil painting, using the famous Bob Ross technique.

Or you can devote your weekend to polishing your Bridge, getting your golf swing into perfect shape, try hot air ballooning or even spend the weekend at the races.

And for the budding writers amongst you, the Creative Writing weekend is run by Mature Times editor Tony Watts.

Experience Breaks cost from just £194 per person for a three-night break including dinner, bed and breakfast, live nightly entertainment and daytime activities.

Warner Breaks' 13 properties across the UK offer a wide choice and style of accommodation, and each has its own distinct personality. They include the majestic Thoresby Hall Hotel in Nottinghamshire, historic Littlecote House in Berkshire where Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour, Victorian character hotel Alvaston Hall in Cheshire (complete with its own golf course) and the Lakeside seaside resort on Hayling Island.
