I wonder if you would print a warning to other readers regarding selling a house with solar panels? My buyers were desperate to buy my house but the mortgage company would not allow me to keep the payments from the solar panels that I had had installed. Initially I decided not sell but the buyers proposed a Gentleman’s agreement whereby they would let me keep the payments.
I knew these people a little and so I agreed to this but once they took possession of the house, they ignored this agreement. This has costs me £2,500 each year that I was relying on as part of my pension. Unfortunately, I suspect I am not the first to fall for this scam.
