It’s never too late to start being more physically active.

Our guide, ‘Physical activity’, is aimed at people who have never taken part in regular physical activity before or those who have been inactive for a while. It is full of handy tips on how to improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
People of all ages can benefit from physical activity and you'll get the most out of it when you start taking part in regular physical activity, even if you’ve not done any exercise for a while.
You’ll notice the difference as soon as you begin and the physical and mental effect of regular exercise can help manage health conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
‘Physical activity’ contains ideas for increasing your activity levels and keeping it fun, as well as looking at ways you can add exercise to your day-to-day routine.
The guide examines the physical and psychological benefits of regular activity and it also contains information on how much exercise you should do.
There is a section in there about useful contacts, including information about Age Cymru’s Nordic Walking programme and Low Impact Functional Training (LIFT) physical activity programme.
