The second Welsh Dharma Celebration – organised by the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) – will be held in Swansea from 3^rd to 5^th February 2012. 

This national festival will provide an opportunity for everyone from Wales and beyond to gather together to celebrate and enjoy Buddha’s teachings.  The NKT-IKBU UK National Spiritual Director, Kadam Bridget Heyes, will be granting the blessing empowerment of the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, and teaching on taking and giving, a special and practical method to bring inner peace to ourself and others. 

Running over three days, the celebration will begin with an introductory teaching on Friday evening at 7.30pm.  This will be followed by a full day of meditation, teachings and empowerment from 9am on Saturday, and a morning of teachings and meditation on Sunday, from 9am.  For full details of sessions times, please contact Dharmavajra Kadampa Buddhist Centre (KBC), Swansea, on 01792 458 245, or visitwww.meditationinwales.org. 

Dharmavajra KBC, which is located on Ffynone Road in the Uplands, will also be open on Friday, from 1pm to 6pm, and Saturday, from 1pm to 3.30pm, providing a peaceful environment for everyone to relax, refresh and unwind in between sessions, whilst enjoying a selection of teas, coffees, sandwiches, homemade soup and delicious cakes. 

The cost for this event is £55 for the whole course, £10 for Friday only, £35 for Saturday only, or £15 for Sunday only.  All profits will contribute to the International Temples Project (ITP), a Buddhist charity building World Peace Temples in major cities across the globe.  Booking in advance for this event is essential, as places are limited.  To book your place, please email i This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
