All dolled up!

All dolled up!

This incredibly detailed dolls house which comes complete with cutlery sets, children’s toys and full furnishings is expected to sell for almost £10,000.

The 3ft by 3ft structure was built more than 50 years ago and is set over three floors. It is filled with dozens of intricately made furnishings including dressers, tables and chairs, tiny cutlery sets, and plates on the wall.

There are also a number of ladies sat down in the dolls house enjoying afternoon tea.

Joanne Moston, from Cheltenham, Gloustershire., is now looking for a new home for the dolls house.

She said: “It is from the 1950s or 60s and I think it is worth between £7,000 and £10,000. It needs a good home, it really does. It is lovely.

“It is special and is filled with wonderful items of the Victorian era. There are a lot of handmade items.

“Some of them are beautiful and very intricate. There’s a mouse in the kitchen and a rat in a trap, for example.

“The doll’s house is essentially one twelfth scale, though some of it is bigger.” All of the rooms have wallpaper and the windows have curtains while one of the bedrooms is full of children’s toys.

Ms Moston, a dolls house enthusiast who already owns three, is selling the antique toy on behalf of a friend.
