So which ones are YOUR favourites..?

Remember the good old days; gobstoppers, midget gems and sherbet? You may still find versions of them mass-produced and sitting on our supermarket shelves – but they’re never the same as the sweet jars we enjoyed during yester-year.
One company, Retrosweetsonline.co.uk allow us to take ourselves and our mouths back in time, to enjoy all of the goodies that ‘they just don’t make like that anymore’. Yes, they do come in jars!
In fact, the online store has made such a mark on sweet tooths’ everywhere that they were recently asked to contribute jars of sweets for the movie set of Theatre of Dreams – which has just been filmed in Manchester and is due for release next year.
The store’s Managing Director, and ‘Mr. Candy Man’, James Munn, was delighted at the request:
“We spend a lot of our time sourcing and packaging old-fashioned sweets, so getting a call from a movie production company was the last thing we expected. We ended up supplying them with everything they asked for – and can’t wait to boast that our sweets have quite literally been marvelled over by movie stars!”, says James.
One could certainly imagine getting lost in the store’s vast inventory of traditional sweets. There are all kinds of confectionary, chocolate and toffee that are sure to bring back memories or Buckaroo, The Famous Five and Crackajack!
Oh well, life just isn’t the same anymore. However, to take your own adventure back in time, fill your house with sugary memories and satisfy your sweet craving, click here to visit the Retro Sweet Shop website!
